As a Rewards Program Manager at APS, you’ll shape the health and benefits programs that support the well-being of our employees and their families. Through collaboration, innovation, and a deep understanding of employee needs, you will help advance APS’s vision of a sustainable energy future supported by a healthy and engaged workforce.

What would your day be like?

  • Develop, recommend, and administer health and welfare programs that support employee well-being and company goals.
  • Assess program performance and identify opportunities to improve value, cost effectiveness, and accessibility.
  • Partner with leaders, vendors, and HR teams to implement benefit plan updates and ensure a smooth employee experience.
  • Support long-term planning by helping define the strategic direction of health programs.
  • Monitor trends, employee needs, and market best practices to keep APS’s offerings competitive and forward-thinking.

To be successful as the Rewards Program Manager, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Eight or more years of professional experience in health and welfare benefits plan design, administration, and vendor negotiation.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state employee benefit laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability with experience conducting in-depth evaluations, research, and data-driven program recommendations.
  • Proven ability to consult, influence, and negotiate with leaders at all organizational levels on complex benefits matters.
  • Proficiency in benefits administration systems and enterprise platforms; Oracle experience and CEBS or CBP certification preferred.

Your responsibilities as the Rewards Program Manager will include:

  • Oversee financial stewardship of benefit programs, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and cost analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure benefit plans comply with applicable federal and state regulations while managing contracts, policies, and governance standards.
  • Lead vendor and broker relationships, including performance oversight, fee evaluation, and participation in contract negotiations.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to executives through written analysis, presentations, and reporting.
  • Establish program metrics and key performance indicators, tracking outcomes and leading continuous improvement initiatives across health and welfare offerings.
