Collection Coordinator

Job Summary:
Our Fund Office administers employee benefits for union tile and terrazzo workers. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Collection Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can learn quickly with minimal supervision, excels at time management, and demonstrates strong organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage contractor contributions, including issuing monthly demand letters, reconciling daily contributions, recording liquidated damages (LDs), and tracking discrepancies
- Manage collection efforts and follow-up communications
- Assist with employer setup for online remittance
- Compile and organize documentation for contractor compliance audits
- Support participant eligibility processing, customer service, and claims adjudication through cross-training with other team members
- Collaborate with staff and report directly to the Assistant Administrator
- Take initiative and contribute to the overall success of the Fund Office by assisting with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; interest in pursuing CEBS certification is a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong 10-key and typing skills
- Comfortable with the Windows operating system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in managing the Fund Office’s social media presence is a plus
