Assistant Administrator

Currently seeking a permanent full time Assistant Administrator who under the direction of the Funds Administrator will assist in overseeing the day to day operations of the various associated Funds, including management of directors, department managers and staff who support administration of the benefit plans in accordance with the respective Trust Agreements and Plan Documents adopted by the Trustees. This includes developing and monitoring policies/procedures, performance standards and ensuring compliance with relevant statutes, regulations and requirements (including but not limited to ERISA, DOL and IRC).
The Fund consists of active and retiree welfare, pension (DB), and annuity participants in all areas covered by the Funds. The Fund provides benefits to over 6,000 active participants and their eligible dependents as well as over 2,000 retired pensioners and beneficiaries.
The ideal candidates will be experienced in the administration of multi-employer Taft Hartley Funds, have extensive knowledge of pension and welfare health plans as well as related government legislative regulations (ERISA, DOL, HIPAA, HITECH, ACA, PPA for example) including knowledge of plan design and interpretation with an extensive background of at least 5 years of managing different functions within a collective bargaining organization preferably in benefit administration/operations.
Education requirements:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Business Process Management, Human Resources or other related fields or equivalent experience.
