One of 88 Nonprofit Industry Winners Nationwide
The Brookfield, Wisconsin–based International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, a nonprofit membership association based in Brookfield, Wisconsin that provides education for those working in employee benefits, has been recognized as a National Top Workplaces winner for the nonprofit industry.
The International Foundation is one of 88 U.S. winners to be recognized as a Top Workplace this year in the category of nonprofit organizations with less than 500 employees.
This honor comes shortly after the Foundation was selected as one of Southeast Wisconsin’s Top Workplaces by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in both 2024 and 2025.
“It is an honor to be nationally recognized as a Top Workplace, and we have the deepest gratitude for our amazing staff who show up every day, helping to ensure the health and financial security of millions of workers worldwide," said Terry Davidson, CEBS, CEO of the International Foundation. "This accomplishment is a testament to the collective efforts of our volunteer leadership and staff for the ongoing work it takes to cultivate a great workplace culture. We are extremely proud of the incredible job our employees do in support of our members and critical mission: employee benefits education."
The Top Workplaces program, led by Energage, has a 17-year history of surveying and celebrating organizations nationally and across 60 regional markets.
Top Workplaces Industry awards celebrate organizations that have built people-first workplace cultures within their sector. The award marks the International Foundation as an employer of choice for those seeking employment in the nonprofit industry.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
The annual Top Workplaces Industry list recognizes businesses and organizations that are identified by their own staff as outstanding workplaces. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential third-party survey and measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures paramount to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection, among others.
